Seneca Jones
Timber Company

Managing today's resources for tomorrow

With the same type of foresight that made Seneca Sawmill a leader through technology, Aaron Jones recognized the need to diversify his company.

In 1989, Seneca became a landowner with the acquisition of 30,000 acres of timberland, marking the company's extension of absolute quality control from seedling selection to finished product.

Today Seneca Jones Timber Company owns and manages over 165,000 acres of Oregon forestland.

There are vast quantities of second-growth timber available for harvest today on our land.  The predominant species is Douglas-fir, with significant stands of Hemlock, cedar and white fir.  In addition, we're actively involved in a cooperative tree improvement program which allows for an increase in both timber yield and quality.

Our continued timberland acquisitions and careful forest management will guarantee that future market needs will be met.
